Tox (Xeomin)

  • PRE CARE

    • Within the past 2-4 weeks, ensure you have not had any oral antibiotics

    • Within the past 24-48 hours, avoid caffeine, alcoholic beverages, NSAIDs (ibuprofen/Motrin, aspirin/naproxen/Aleve)

    • Ensure there are no open wounds, oral cold sores around the areas that will be injected

  • POST CARE

    • Mosquito bite” bumps from the various injection points will fade and decrease in redness over the next few hours. This is due to the localized trauma from the injections

    • 4-6 hours: no laying flat on your back (napping/sleeping flat), no laying face down (massages, sleeping on your belly), no tight rimmed hats/headbands that apply pressure to the treated areas

    • 24 hours: no excessive exercise/sauna/hot tub, alcohol (to avoid the appearance of bruising)

    • Your final results will have kicked in and settled within a few days to 2 weeks

    • Some clients will need a touch up, but no sooner than 2 weeks

  • Discomfort, swelling, bruising: to be expected the first 2-3 days, the greatest swelling the first 24 hours, then slowly tapering off. If bruising develops, it may take up to 1 week to resolve

    • Try sleeping with your head of bed elevated on a few pillows when sleeping at night to help decrease swelling. Swelling is always more prominent in the mornings upon waking up

    • You may try Tylenol/acetaminophen for any discomfort

    • Avoid Motrin, ibuprofen, aspirin, or aleve which can make you bruise more

    • For swelling, try gently icing the treated area (hover an ice pack a few centimeters above the skin) every few hours for 5 minutes at a time

  • Any lumps, bumps, unevenness will smooth out over the upcoming weeks

  • 24 hours:

    • NO makeup

    • NO alcohol (to avoid the appearance of bruising)

    • NO excessive exercise/sauna/hot tub

  • Results: in 3-4 weeks your filler results will have settled, and swelling and bruising will have resolved

  • Follow up: I typically. have my clients send me a photo of the treated area the first few days after a treatment to ensure things are healing appropriately

    • Natural lighting works best

    • Selfies work great, or you can ask someone to take your photo

    • REMEMBER to send me a photo 3-4 weeks after your initial treatment so we can discuss your results. My goal is to ensure you are satisfied and happy with your results!

  • EXCESSIVE PAIN/BRUISING

    • Please contact me with any EXCESSIVE PAIN OR BRUISING that develops at any time. Especially anything that develops in an area that was not injected

chemical peels

BIO RE PEEL

  • PRE CARE

    • Within the past 2 weeks, ensure you have not had any lasers or microneedling treatments

    • Within the past 1 week, ensure you have not had: waxing, threading, excessive exfoliation. STOP topical retinol/tretinoin (Retin-A)

    • Ensure there are no open wounds, oral cold sores around the areas that will be injected

  • POST CARE

    • Apply your daily post treatment serum that was provided at your treatment for the first few days, as well as your daily SPF 30 (minimum)

    • Makeup: you may apply your makeup after the peel is complete (if you also received Tox in the same treatment, makeup may be applied the following day)

    • 7 days: NO active products that may irritate your skin: retinol, tretinoin (Retin-A). benzoyl peroxide, exfoliants (alpha/beta hydroxyacid, lactic acid, glycolic acid)

    • 14 days: NO facial treatments (facials, dermabrasions), NO waxing, send me a selfie!

VI PEEL

  • Refer to your VI Peel handout and app that was provided during your visit for specific after care instructions

  • Peeling: anticipate peeling on days 3-7, slight variations are anticipated. Do NOT pick at peeling areas!

  • Apply your daily SPF

  • 14 days: send me a selfie!


LASER

PRE CARE

  • Please arrive to your laser appointment with a clean, fresh face, without makeup or products applied. Any makeup or products will be cleansed off with soap and water, and alcohol wipes to ensure treatment site is prepared and clean

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure prior to your laser treatment. Your skin cannot be treated if you have an active sunburn, or are recovering from a sunburn

  • Avoid spray tan application 2 days prior to your laser treatment, your spray tan needs to be settled

  • Avoid topical active products such as retinol, tretinoin, vitamin C, exfoliating products for 2 days prior to your laser treatment

  • If you are scheduled for hair reduction, ready to laser hair is 2 days after shaving (there should be a few millimeters of stubble the day of your treatment)

POST CARE

  • You may return to your normal daily activities immediately after your laser treatment (including: exercise, sauna, hot tub)!!

  • You should diligently apply sunscreen to your face daily for 2 weeks after your treatment

  • Avoid active topical products until any sensitivity subsides (retinol, tretinoin, vitamin C, exfoliating products)

  • You may apply makeup after any sensitivity subsides

  • Discuss with your provider the best post procedure skincare products to further enhance your laser treatments and drive results!
